Stunning Art Nouveau Electrolier - La Fleur des Champs.

With solid oak pedestal

This is a large rare original 4 lamp light from the turn of the century. She is a beautiful gilt figure entitled "La Fleur des Champs" - the flower seller. She is full of movement and life and is surrounded by flowers, 4 of which are electric light fittings, and is stood on a naturalistic base. The base of the figure is signed J Causse and a plaque on the turned plinth is entitled "La Fleur des Champs" Julien Causse is a listed French Sculptor -......Click here for full details!

Large Antique Tapestry - The Hunting Party

A Very Large Antique Tapestry - The Garden Party

~ Late Victorian ~

A highly decorative Tapestry, most probably from Belgium around 1890.

Condition is reasonable - There is some staining near to the frame and some areas of wear. There is a hole in the upper part of the tapestry.

English Golden Oak Desk

Here we have just the desk for your library or den. The photographs do not do justice to this piece - which positively glows with the beauty of the oak. Take a look at the enlargements.

The desk is from the Edwardian period and features barley twist legs and double serpentine shape. A useful deep drawer is fitted to the left of the desk which has a dummy double front. All the drawers are oak lined - as you would expect for a piece of this quality.

Victorian Horseman

Bronze pattinated spelter figure of a horseman - looks like a Goth to us - charging confidently into attack. Ideal for your office especially first thing Monday morning! Could well be fighting the Roman below, they are very similar size.

He is very well cast and is in good condition with minor wear. His sword has been repaired but this does not detract from the piece. He has a turned ebonised wooden base which is slightly chipped.

Victorian Horseman

Bronze pattinated spelter figure of a horseman - we think he is Roman. Looks like he could be fighting the Goth above with his shield raised against the blows of the  Goths sword. He has a turned ebonised wooden base.

ANTIQUE FRENCH FIGURAL MIRROR ~ LE COMMERCE

Pattinated spelter figure of a young man holding aloft a circular mirror, all on a turned wood socle.  In very good condition, a very small split in one leg at the rear, and a missing piece of decoration see picture.  Does not detract from the decorative appeal.   Mirror is an old replacement and shows some age wear.  Great accent for a Shabby Château, Paris Apartment look for your bathroom.

   Gilt Brass Candle Sticks 

~~ French Circa 1880 ~~

A very nice pair of gilt brass candle sticks - heavy with bases loaded with iron. Decorated with vines and 'C' scrolls in typical French Rococo manner. Condition is very good - wear to the gilding gives the sticks a real 'shabby chateau' look. There is some wear to the insides of the bowls caused by wax being removed over the years. This has been brazed over and is hardly noticeable. Display is great. Complete with sconces.

   PAIR OF REGENCY BRONZE CANDLE STICKS

Fine pair of Regency bronze candlesticks with glass luster drops.  Condition is excellent, each stick has 6 luster drops which are probably not original.  Sticks will take more drops.

Gothic Gilt Brass Candle stick

 ~ 24 3/4" Tall ~
Victorian

Most of the gilt has worn away leaving a lovely warn golden brown patina. The stick is mostly repoussé brass sheet with solid turned waist and finial. There are a few scratches and small paint splashes which do not affect the look of this piece - and some verdigris which of course only adds to its charm. We think this is probably of French origin from the late 19th century. It is not as heavy as it looks - so no need to worry about the shipping!
