A very decorative antique French Japy Freres cartel wall clock. It is beautifully modelled in metal which has been gilded with gold leaf to give an appearance similar to that of carved wood and gesso. The dial is enamel on copper lettered in blue with separate minute ring. It is complete with original finely fretted gilt brass hands. The back of the clock has an old repairers label.

It is made of a beautifully figured, antique golden brown veneer mounted with finely modelled and gilded ormolu that is in excellent original condition. The shape is classic Rococo, asymmetric waisted design with bold acanthus shoulders, scroll feet and a flamboyant floral swag to the top. This clock is unusual in having its original separate stand and creates the most magnificent display.

A beautiful antique French gilt brass table clock of good size with excellent original gilding. The is clock is square in shape and clock is modelled in the round, ideal for displaying on a table. It is Neo-Gothic in style, standing on hairy paw feet with grotesque masks and roundels to the sides with masks. The domed top is fretted with finely detailed stylised swans and the panel below the dial is also fretted and features a goddess mask.

A very large and stunning Rococo bracket clock, on its original bracket it is almost 4 feet in height. It is red Vernis Martin style lacquer work, exquisitely painted with floral swags. The Ormolu mounts (Doré Bronze or fine gilded brass / bronze) are finely modelled and crisply chased with a lovely clean and bright original gilding. To the top is a beautifully large and flamboyant rococo finial.

It is classically styled, boldly modelled with acanthus leaves, blind fretted front and surmounted by a large urn with masks. It is a particularly well modelled clock, heavy and of high quality.

The style is classical Louis XVI, boldly and heavily modelled with crisp, fine detail. The large gilt brass dial is mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouches. It sits between two columns with a fretted panel beneath allowing the pendulum to be seen swinging within the case.
