Everyone in Dragon Antiques shares your love of Antiques
Brian Palfree is known to everyone as "the old man". He took over from his Father at the age of 14 and after 40 years of business has retired. He still enjoys the thrill of finding a treasure - here he is watching the removal of a Bentley Mk6 motor car we found in an old mill.

I am Julie pictured here on a frosty morning in Derbyshire, England, with Bessie, the Labrador and Milo, the Jack Russell.  It was too cold for Lilly our Greyhound!  A fourth generation dealer, my Father was a noted antique arms and militaria dealer, now retired.  My dealing started over 30 years ago, searching the 'Junk Shops' and Auctions of Derby when I should have been in College!  Always fascinated by clocks, I purchased my first Tallcase Clock in 1970 and clocks are still a mainstay of our family business, together with Silver and Staffordshire Ceramics.  Many of our regular clients will know of my great love for Victorian Staffordshire Portrait Figures and I have been privileged to handle many rare and wonderful figures over the years.

Dragon Antiques has built a great reputation for clocks - in no small part due to Carl's fastidious attention to detail. Here he is making some final adjustments to a longcase clock, helping to ensure that its new owner has many years of trouble-free enjoyment. Carl learnt the art of horology from his farther and is now coming towards the end of his lengthy training necessary to qualify for the British Horological Institute. Carl@dragon-antiques.com
