RARE STAFFORDSHIRE MILITARY WATCH HOLDER
Sir Henry Havelock and Sir Colin Campbell
The Relief of Lucknow 1857
A super, colourful figure from the Indian Mutiny Wars, commemorating the relief of Lucknow in November 1857. Sir Henry Havelock died a week later from dysentery on 24th November 1857. The Generals stand each side of a watch holder with crossed flags above, including a well painted 'Union Jack', and crossed sabers and cannon balls below. Condition is excellent, there is an old professional restoration to the left hand figure's neck and hand. Display is superb, a great addition to your military collection.
