Antique French Clock - Classical Style

A magnificent classical clock of grand proportions, standing at over 2 feet in height. The case is heavy brass, mounted with hairy paw feet, classical masks and surmounted by and urn. This is of the highest quality, with a cartouche dial in the manner of the 18th century examples, and the best square plate movement - as you can see in the picture below.

Movement strikes on a bell and runs for 8 days - it is in excellent clean and full working order.

The finish of the brass is very good - the flat surfaces of the case are a mellow antique gold, with the feet and masks being brighter.
