Antique French Brass Boudoir Clock

A stunning original antique French boudoir clock. It is French Gothic in style and features dragons to the sides and a grotesque mask to the front. The panel below the dial is fretted to allow the pendulum to be glimpsed swinging within the case.

The dial is enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands. Bezel is glazed with bevelled convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and has the A. D. Mougin mark on the movement backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some minor wear or discolouration. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
