Super portrait of the majestic grey horse, Anak, in his stable.  This wonderful oil study signed bottom right by the artist Dugard Watts, for the owner W. Nocton Esq., of Langham Hall, Essex.  We have had the portrait professionally cleaned, repaired and re-framed in an excellent quality frame, retaining the provenance from the Victorian original...see pictures.  The painting is now ready to hang, a focal point for any gracious interior.

The beautiful countryside surrounding Langham Hall in Essex was the setting for many paintings by the celebrated artist John Constable.
