Super rural landscape - Watching the Flock

A very nice oil on canvas of a English Country Estate - A Shepard watches his flock beneath an ancient oak tree. There is a particularly good light under the trees around the Shepherd. The painting is signed as you can see below, however we have been unable to find the artist listed.

Condition is excellent - our painting restorer has carefully cleaned the canvas. There is some minor in-painting to the sky and around the edge of the canvas and some slight gilt over painting. The frame is original and is complete except for very slightly bumped corners. The frame is dirty and just needs a good clean and a waxing.
